Melanie S. Dickinson, CCO, AIF®, PPC™
Melanie serves both retirement plan sponsors and individuals, providing them with independent financial solutions. As our Chief Compliance Officer, she is responsible for maintaining the integrity of our business. Melanie helps corporate clients identify their fiduciary responsibilities and individual clients develop their goals for the future. She also prepares and consults with corporate retirement plan clients in the event of an IRS or Department of Labor audit.
Melanie received a bachelor’s degree in education from Jacksonville State University and a master’s degree from Walden University. Melanie is a partner of the firm and holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, which is widely considered the gold standard for retirement plan advisors. Other qualifications include the Professional Plan Consultant™ (PPC™) certification and FINRA Series 6, 7, 26, 63, and 65 licenses.
Melanie spent her childhood at The Alabama Sheriff’s Boys Ranch and John Croyle’s Big Oak Girls Ranch, sharing her biological parents with abused, neglected, or abandoned children. Melanie is active throughout her community as a member of the Hoover Business Chamber, Junior League of Birmingham, and as president of Women of the PowerGrid. She and her husband, Tim, reside in Alabaster, Alabama, with their two children. Her family is a member of and regularly attends Pelham Baptist Church.
Melanie was invited to speak at the last two Center for Due Diligence (CFDD) national conferences, one of the largest 401k conferences in the country. Last year she was also asked to speak at Excel Retirement Plan Conference, where she and Jim have both been asked to participate again next year.
